Why We Built This

Quattro Pro Converter began as a side project after we kept seeing the same scene at finance, operations, and IT teams: a shared drive full of .wq1, .wq2, .wb2, and .qpw workbooks that no current tool would open. Cost models, payroll histories, plant schedules, rate-case workpapers, ledgers — decades of quantitative work, frozen behind a file format Microsoft Excel quietly stopped supporting years ago.

The available options were not great. Cloud converters demanded uploading regulated financial spreadsheets to unknown servers. Free desktop tools handled one workbook at a time and routinely lost everything except the active sheet. Nothing could process an entire archive at once while keeping every cell private and local.

So we built the tool ourselves. What started as a way to rescue one company's cost-of-goods archive grew into something teams across industries needed: a fast, private, bulk Quattro Pro converter that treats your numbers — and the rules around them — with the care they deserve.
